Troy Kotsur plays former car thief turned reformed criminal Troy Meyers, a profoundly deaf man who now works with Charlie at the gas station/garage. An award-winning actor as well as husband to “Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye” star Deanne Bray, Kotsur has guest starred on such TV shows as “Criminal Minds,” “Scrubs,” “Doc” and “CSI:NY” and appeared in films including “The Number 23” with Jim Carrey, “Universal Signs” and “Dummy Hoy.”
Kotsur’s roles on stage include the Tony Award-winning Broadway revival of “Big River,” the Fountain Theatre’s premiere of “Cyrano” with Kotsur in the lead role, the Kirk Douglas Theatre’s original musical “Sleeping Beauty Wakes,” Deaf West productions “Of Mice and Men,” “Orphans,” “A Streetcar Named Desire,” “True West,” and “Oliver!,” the National Theater of the Deaf productions of “Ophelia” and “Treasure Island” and performances at the Herberger Theater in Phoenix in “The Night of January 16th” and “The Elephant Man.” A critically acclaimed director, Kotsur has helmed more than 10 productions at Deaf West Theatre.
